Charles started his tenure with the Board in June 2010. He is a native of Jackson, Alabama. He is a 2009 graduate of Bishop State Community College (Funeral Service Education). Charles is a national board-certified funeral director and embalmer, licensed in the state of Alabama as a Funeral Director and Embalmer.
E. DENISE GROGAN
ASSOCIATE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - FUNERAL DIVISION
E. Denise Grogan started her tenure with the Board in April 2013. A 2009 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Jefferson State Community College (Funeral Service Education), Denise is a national board-certified funeral director and embalmer. Denise holds a cremationist license in Alabama and an insurance license with a line of authority in life.
LAURA K. SULLIVAN
ASSOCIATE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - PRENEED DIVISION
Laura joined the board in July of 2023. She is a native of Mount Vernon, Alabama and received her Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration with a minor in Business Administration from Auburn University in 2012. Laura is also a licensed funeral director in the State of Alabama and Mississippi. Before joining the board, Laura was a registered Preneed Sales Agent in Alabama, and was a former board member and Secretary of her hometown cemetery.
OCTAVIA JOHNSON - ACCOUNTANT
Octavia started her tenure with the Board in August 2023. She is a native of Monroeville, Alabama. She is a 2020 cum laude graduate of Troy University (BSBA, Public Accounting) and a 2022 graduate of Troy University (MBA – Global Business – International Management).
